Quality and tradition

Mr. Antonio Nadal Muntaner founded the company ANTONIO NADAL in 1898, dedicated to the production of traditional Mallorcan artisanal liqueurs, which he sold in the Buñola area and surrounding region. Later, around 1920, he began exporting to South America until the Spanish Civil War.

Currently, ANTONIO NADAL SA has a large team of approximately 40 people and produces and markets approximately 180 different types of beverages. Among these products, the most notable are the PALO TUNEL and TUNEL DE MALLORCA, both protected by the Geographical Designation of Mallorca. Palo of Mallorca and the Geographical Denomination of the Herbs of Mallorca respectively.

ANTONIO NADAL's market is primarily the Balearic Islands, where it is present in all segments of the sector. It also has a significant presence on the Mediterranean coast of the Iberian Peninsula and in the Canary Islands. The presence in these locations becomes a strategic asset for the company when exporting to other countries, as it acts as an international tourism hub.

Antonio Nadal Destil·leries products are present in more than 50 countries, and they are currently expanding into new European markets and beyond the European Union, strategic and fundamental areas for the future survival of a company with solid and stable business.

Expansion into foreign markets is based primarily on the TUNEL DE MALLORCA herbal liqueur, which is the most popular product thanks to the influence of tourism from the Balearic Islands.

During the three-year period 2009-2012, the TÚNEL factory invested in a comprehensive renovation of its facilities located in the Marratxí industrial estate. This renovation had two main objectives: first, the complete renovation of the building to optimize it (in terms of energy efficiency) and modernize it with new services, such as the creation of a bartender and mixology training room, focused on the development of Antonio Nadal SA cocktail products; and second, the renovation of its facilities, new bottling lines, new automated production processes, and the addition of new laboratory equipment for the Quality and R&D department, all with the aim of efficiently supporting its international growth and development.
